Before start, in Lakki, Leros

We are currently in the process of preparing and submitting a comprehensive Covid-19 Risk Assessment for the 2021 Göran Schildt Regatta (GSR). The approval by the Hellenic Sailing Federation of such an assessment is currently a prerequisite for holding sailing events in Greece. We hope to be granted the requisite permit within approximately three weeks from now. Thereafter we will be able to issue a formal Notice of Race.

The regatta will be held in the waters around Leros between September 19th to 23rd. The racing course currently outlined on the Villa Kolkis home page is preliminary. The exact route of the race and the ports to be visited will be finally decided upon once the permit has been granted and after consultation with local and public health authorities in the relevant ports.

Given the current situation with respect to transmission of Covid-19 as well as the capacity of health care facilities in the islands concerned we will, for the time being, limit the number of participating yachts to 15 on a first come first served basis. Your early notification of interest to participate would be appreciated. It could serve to strengthen our case with the Hellenic Sailing Federation.

If you plan to participate we would be grateful if you would fill in and submit the Entry and GSR Rating Forms. The Entry Form would, however, be preliminary until such time as we are allowed to issue the Notice of Race.

We would also like you to advise us about the vaccination status of your crew, to the extent it is presntly available. This can be done on the crew list form. Instead of club in the sixth column we would like you to note if the crew member in respect has received 0, 1 or 2 Covid-19 vaccination injections or, alternatively, is certified as having Covid-19 antibodies (AB).

Looking forward to seeing you in Leros
