All official information for the GS Regatta 2023 is published on this board. Due to the international nature of the event, the information here is provided in English.

     The registration was finished at the Nautical Club in Leros/Lakki Sunday 17.9.2023. 18 boats representing 12 nationalities were registered on and four of them in ORC class. The boats and their ratings were approved by the technical committee and made available for the boats after inspection.

Annex to sailing instructions – Start and finishing lines

     The start takes place on Monday 18.9 at 10.00 from Lakki. Three races are organised during three days, and the routes are Day 1: Leros – Lipsi, Day 2: Lipsi  around (alternate route decided due to strong wind 18.9.) and Day 3: Lipsi – Leros.

Windspeed on the first leg 18.9. from Leros to Lipsi was steadily 30 knots per meter and increased towerd Lipsi to 35-40 knots. 

Due to strong wind and to ensure safe moorings the next leg was chaged to go clockwise around Lipsi. The windspeed from North was forcasted to be some 20 knots, but was in reality around 30 knots at the Western and Norterns side of the island. In South East and Southern side the windspeed dropped to half of it.

 On the third day from Lipsi to Leros the wind continued from the North, but windspeed dropped to 15-20 knots.
